Brandon T. Johnson - President & Chief Executive Officer
As GTJ's President & Chief Executive Officer, Brandon T. Johnson is responsible for all aspects of the GTJ operation. Growing up, he obtained valuable experience, people skills and the strong work ethic he maintains today. Brandon attended Grand Valley State University and studied Communications, Business Management and Spanish. While at GVSU, Brandon also played varsity baseball, was a DJ, and met his wife, Mandy.
Upon returning to Detroit in 2000, Brandon helped his father Gene create what GTJ has become today. In 2003, Brandon took over the daily operations of GTJ and has helped guide the company to enormous growth and expansion. Brandon has been President of GTJ since 2007.
Brandon is a Certified MSHDA housing inspector, a licensed MI Residential Builder and Certified FEMA disaster inspector. A nominee for Crain's Detroit Business "20 in their 20's," Brandon holds several design patents including that of GTJ Online. In 2008, Brandon was named to Cambridge's Who's Who of Business Executives. Brandon is proud to also be the President of the GTJ
Foundation, a private charity dedicated to helping families and those that need it most.
While not at work, Brandon loves to spend time with his family. His wife, Mandy Johnson has blessed him with 2 beautiful children. A lifelong athlete, Brandon is a member of the Detroit Athletic Club and avid sports fan. Brandon enjoys playing his guitar and piano, reading about history, philosophy and politics and listening to his music collection.
